Been A while..

Well, each day the girls get older, life gets a little more hectic. The past few weeks have been... crazy, to say the least. From Rileigh's pool accident to Taylor starting to eat solids and crawl like a turtle, it has literally been one nerve racking, excitement filled day after the other.

So I'll do a little update on the kids and then hopefully get back to posting as was intended when I started this blog. As I said, Taylor's recently started eating baby food and just about anything else she can get her hands on. She didn't want anything to do with it at first, but has since changed her mind completely LOL. She still refuses to sit on her own, tho I'm pretty sure she's perfectly able. She has, however, recently become more mobile. What started out as a flopping, turtle like scoot across the floor is slowly but surely turning into a crawl. She gets up on her knees and rocks, just hasnt quite figured out she has to move her hands too.

As for Rileigh, her mother's day pool disaster has left her with a small fear of water now. She still gets in the pool, thankfully, but is not close to her normal spunky, fearless self she was before the incident. While I am glad that she knows better than to jump in on her own and is more careful now, I'm very saddened that she's now afraid to be in the water unless she's clinging to my neck. =( On a better note, her vocabulary is expanding more and more every day and she's getting really good at putting words together. I'm also completely in love with my wake up kisses I've been getting lately.

As for Jerrimy and I, we're getting by anyway we can, counting down the days. Jerrimy's enjoying seeing and doing new things and I'm spending all my time with my girls.

The Beach!

Today was a fun day. We got up and decided to hop in the car and go out to the beach. Rileigh HATED the water unless my sister or I was carrying her, then she loved it LOL. One time I was carrying her out and I asked if she wanted down and she says "NOOOOOO Mommy!" I said "Are you scared?" She says "Uh.. Yaaaa!"

I took both kids for their checkups yesterday. Rileigh for her late 2 yr appt and Taylor for her 6 month. Poor Rileigh's tiny LOL. 20% on her weight, 17% on her height, and 70% on her head HAHA gets that big head from her Daddy. Taylor on the other hand, 70% on her weight, 50% on her height and like 90% on her head. Both of them with the big heads haha.

Anyhow, Taylor didn't get her 4 month shots because she was sick so she had to make them up yesterday. Well, she was due for 6. YIKES. 1 was by mouth and 3 were supposed to be in one shot.. the HPT I think it is. Unfortunately for her, they didn't have the mixed version in stock so she had to get the 3 seperate. Poor baby!

I did get some new cream for Rileigh's eczema so we'll see if this one works. Supposed to be a stronger prescription than the last one. (can only do it twice a day) I also have to limit her time in the water unfortunately. It's finally nice enough for the pool and I have to keep her out of it except on occasion. Hopefully it clears it up soon and we can go back to normal.

So my sister and I were craigslisting the other day (well like a week ago and I've been too busy to write about it) and we found a lady in Katy that found a puppy in the road and couldn't find the owner and was giving it away for free.

Anyhow, my sister decided she wanted him. He's a Chihuahua Weiner Dog mix and she named him Jackson. Rileigh loves him... finally an animal that doesn't run from her LOL

So Glad I found this place!

So over the weekend I decided to get out of the house and go with my grandma to run some errands... well we had to go to the pool supply store to get some chemicals and all and while I was sitting in the car waiting on her to finish up in there, I noticed this place a few stores down that I had never noticed before. It's called Stomping Grounds.

So I was like "Hmm." and jumped on the wed on my phone and looked it up and discovered it is an indoor playground. Well we decided to take Rileigh in there and check it out. OH EM GEE! I love this place!! It's got a huge play ground inside, rope ladders, lots of slides, stuff to climb on and all. They also serve coffee and latte's as well as a pretty extensive food menu. It's wonderful. Best part, I only have to pay for Rileigh and it's only $4.60!!

Rileigh LOVES it! We played for about an hour on Saturday and I took her back yesterday.

Sunday Taylor will be 6 months old already! I can't believe it!!

Wii Fit

Well, after finally getting tired of sitting around all day getting fatter while Jerrimy works out everyday, I finally convinced him to let me buy another Wii and Wii Fit. Though I've been slacking the past couple days, I have lost 3 pounds since I got it! It's a lot of fun and makes it so easy to work out since I can do it at home and stop to tend to the kids and all. I LOVE it!

Egg Hunt

Here are some pictures from today! We dyed eggs this morning and then let the kids look for them. Well, the plastic ones we filled with candy and money and stuff. Like 80 eggs for 3 kids haha. Rileigh had a blast finding them.

Can't believe it's April already

As I've been dreading... April is only a couple days away and the emotions are starting to catch up with me. Wednesday morning I'll be dropping Jerrimy at the airport for him to go half way around the world without us for a year. I am very happy that we've had the last two weeks, but it doesn't come close to making up for what I'm about to be without. My only hope now is that this next year goes by as quickly as it has come time for him to leave.

Twilight

Well I finally watched the movie. While it wasn't bad, of course after reading the book first I have to complain some. I know, I know... books are always better than the movies made after them, but this one really aggravated me. They left out so many things that were really needed to convey the story, not to mention added things that didn't happen. Hopefully the next one is better.

Zoo!

It was gorgeous outside yesterday so we decided to go to the Zoo. Boy did we pick a bad day... after a week of rain and it being Spring Break, sheesh. SOOO many people there, but we had a good time anyway. Taylor's still sick so she slept through pretty much all of it, but Rileigh had a good time.

Well the cold front's here... it's disgusting and depressing out. Cold and raining and just blah. The kind of day you should be allowed to stay in bed and watch movies all day. If only...

My sister's home for Spring Break so we decided this morning to turn the hot tub on and we sat in it a while (Rileigh too). It was nice. I like getting in it when it's cold out.

Dancing with the Stars

I normally don't care for this show much, but my grandma had it on tonight so I watched. One of the ladies had to drop out last minute due to an injury suffered during rehearsal and I was surprised and thrilled to see it was Melissa from the bachelor that took her place! She even danced great and they said she only had 48 hours to practice. I guess I'm going to have to watch it now cuz I LOVED her on the bachelor.

Beverly Hills Chihuahua

So Rileigh has been telling me for the past month she wanted this movie every time the commercial comes on so we bought it this weekend. It's her new favorite movie and I'm surprised to say that it actually wasn't a bad movie. I thought for sure it was going to be dumb, but quite the opposite. Very cute.

Ever since I put her in it the first day, it's all she wants to do now. She even naps in it, wakes up, and bounces some more. Look at them cheeks! Healthy for sure lol

So ready for Warmth!

Man my skin is dry! I HATE the cold for this reason. I feel like a baby cuz I put lotion on like 50 times a day haha.

Weather says this week is 70's and 80's which I'm happy about. Gonna start getting me in the mood for vacation which, did I mention, is in like 16 days?! w00t! I can't wait for the beach and the sun and just being able to lay around LOL.

Can't believe it!

Taylor's getting so big so fast!! You already know she's recently started getting in her bouncer and loves it, but the other night I mixed her up some Rice Cereal and Applesauce... that was an adventure lol. She couldn't quite figure out the eating part, but she liked it none the less. She also rolled over yesterday and is grabbing things now.

All day today she's been talking and laughing to herself or anyone that pays attention. It's absolutely wonderful. Only wish Jerrimy were here for it.

Update!

Well after the spell with the kidney stone the other day, I'm glad to say that I haven't had anymore pain since. Very glad to have that over with. On a side note, while I was at the DR she gave me a steroid shot and some pills to take to help with the stupid itchiness/allergy problem I've been having since I was pregnant with Taylor and it seems so far to be working wonders! One thing that brings it on is heat and I made it nearly an hour in the hot tub last night with no problems at all. YAY!

Dang this weather already!!

Rileigh's sick now, UGH! I'm gonna hafta call on Monday and make her an appointment. She's been running a fever all day, bad running nose, and caughing up a storm. Poor thing. Normally she takes her medicine like it's candy but all day today I've had to fight her to take it. You can just see how bad she feels in her face. She's hardly eaten today and been just laying around on the couch watching TV. Hopefully I can get her fever gone soon, but her cough doesn't seem to be going anywhere. It was 84 out today and a cold front is moving in tonight again... only makes it worse.

All Bounced Out

Taylor's really been kicking her feet a lot lately so I decided yesterday to put the bouncer together and see how she did in it and she had a BLAST! Bounced herself to sleep actually haha.

Crazy trip to the ER

Well for those of you that didn't hear, I made a trip to the ER Wednesday morning. I woke up having the most awful pain I've ever experienced in my right side and just couldn't take it anymore. It ended up being a 4.5 cm kidney stone... YIKES! Anyhow, I went to the DR yesterday and she thinks I was lucky and have passed it already. I'm not in anymore pain or anything so I'm very happy it's over with.

This week we took Rileigh to this place where they have all the blow up things you can bounce and play on (the same one we went to for a birthday party a while back) and they had some fun together.
